Dr. Virendra Swarup Public School, Kalyanpur organised a yellow colour day .It was a vibrant and engaging event filled with cheerful activities and decorations. The classrooms were adorned with bright yellow artwork, creating a lively and festive atmosphere. Students and teachers dressed in various shades of yellow, adding to the colourful ambiance. The day was filled with fun activities like painting with yellow colours, crafting art, and singing songs related to the colour yellow.The cherry on the cake was Maggie party which was enjoyed by the students.It was a day filled with laughter, creativity, and a sense of unity as everyone came together to celebrate the joy of the colour yellow.

Kindergarten Halloween Party - (2023-10-31)
The Spooktacular Kindergarten Halloween Party held on October 31, 2023 at Dr. Virendra Swarup Public School, Kalyanpur was a thrilling event for little witches and superheroes. The day began with a costume parade where kids flaunted their spooky outfits. The Games included Hungry Me , Make me fat , Ready Steady Aim and many more. The best dressed witch and ghost were praised . The students had a blast as they played and rejoiced to their heart's content.

Independence Day 23-24 - (2023-08-15)
Dr. Virendra Swarup Public School, Kalyanpur proudly celebrated the *77th Independence Day* on 15th August’23.
The day began with Flag hoisting followed by a spectacular cultural programme.
The students of classes I - V depicted various real life Indian Heroes through their roleplays. The students participated with great enthusiasm and joy, reverberating a feeling of pride and patriotism all around. Mars House bagged first position, followed by Jupiter House, Mercury House and Venus House. To hone the dancing skills of the students, an Inter - House Patriotic Dance Competition was also organized. The vivacious dancers set the floor on fire with their energetic performances and this was a reflection of their passion and hard work. The spectacular performance by Mars House left the audience spellbound. They bagged the first position, followed by Jupiter with a tie in between Venus House and Mercury House.
In the words of Mahatma Gandhi, “The future depends on what we do in the present!” So let’s pledge to make ourselves fair-minded, fearless and faithful. Jai Hind!!!

Investiture Ceremony 23-24 - (2023-08-25)
Investiture Ceremony is an important event which gives a good start to the activities for the academic year. To follow the legacy, Dr Virendra Swarup Public School Kalyanpur, organized the Investiture Ceremony for the academic Session 2023-2024 on the 25th of July.
The ceremony was to badge the leaders of this academic year who would be leading this year’s all-curricular and co-curricular activities and work with a unified vision and bring out new and challenging events with all the success.
The ceremony started by lighting the lamp which signifies the removal of darkness and continuous upward movement of the flame denotes a path of wisdom and divinity.
The ceremony commenced with the energetic fusion dance on ‘Shiv Vandana’ presented by the students, which spell bound the audience and enhanced the vibrance of the event.
The Oath taking ceremony was led by Principal of the institution Ms Punita Tuteja. The Office bearers pledged to work earnestly and uphold the honour and glory of the institution.
After that, the CBSE BOARD TOPPERS from Class X were felicitated by our respectable principal ma'am.
We express our gratitude to our revered Principal Ma’am for her sheer perseverance to help students comprehend the rich legacy of our nation and for her constant encouragement to attain excellence in all arenas of education.

The Hindi Recitation Competition 'Mukhar Abhivyakti' was organized at Dr. Virendra Swarup Public School, Kalyanpur on 25.07.23 on the occasion of Shiksha Diwas, the birth anniversary of Dr. Virendra Swarup Ji.The Students touched different aspects with their impressive themes.Props used by them enhanced their presentation. It was a wonderful display and amalgamation of various thoughts and ideas.

Practicing yoga is one of the ways to grow into a better human being with a sharp mind , a good heart and a relaxed soul.
The International Day of Yoga is celebrated across the world annually on the 21st of June 2023 . The theme for International Yoga Day is 'Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbkam' effectively encapsulating our collective aspiration for 'One Earth , One Family and One Future'
The students of Dr.Virendra Swarup Public School, Kalyanpur believe that yoga is a physical, mental and spritual practice . They through their demonstration of several yogic asanas reminded us to look after ourselves in simple ways like practising yoga and staying active.

A small exhibition was held during the Parents' Teachers' Meeting held on 27.05.23 at Dr. VSPS Kalyanpur to depict various creations made by our talented children during the Summer Camp -Xploria ’23 . The students worked avidly and with exuberance to create unique and fantastic objects and eatables. The junior Scientists made some creations involving the wonders of Science. Numerous creations of our wonder kids were put on display which the parents and guardians appreciated. The parents gave their valuable and positive feedback pertaining to the display .

Inter-Class Quiz competition 'VirSwaQ' - (2023-05-26)
An Inter-Class Quiz competition 'VirSwaQ' was organized on May 26 at Dr. Virendra Swarup Public School, Kalyanpur for the students of classes 9 to 12 . The quiz tested the students' knowledge in the fields of Science and Technology. There were four teams namely Hawkins,Einstein, Newton and Gates with four participants in each.Rules and regulations of the quiz were explained at the beginning.The teams gave a tough battle to each other. It was an interesting four-round competition, including
objective questions with options round, buzzer round and rapid-fire round which engaged the students for one hour.The students showcased their brilliance by rapidly answering the questions promptly and actively. The team that scored the most was *Gates* followed by Einstein at the second place.It was indeed a very informative and knowledge enriching competition for the participants along with the audience.

Dominos Visit - (2023-05-25)
Learning occurs in a lot of different ways in schools, and it's not limited only to the classrooms.
VSPSians of grades 3 to 8 were extremely excited to visit Domino’s Pizza outlet on May 25, 2023.
They were given a warm welcome by the team. Students got an opportunity to make their own pizza. Before entering the kitchen, they were asked to wash their hands and were provided caps, emphasizing on hygiene. They were taught how to flatten the dough, add cheese and toppings.
The students were surprised to see how a dough ball could easily be converted into a delicious pizza.
Our students admired the kitchen setup and the managerial skills of the staff.
Students thanked the team for patiently teaching them the art of making scrumptious pizzas.
The children relished the pizza and it was overall a wonderful learning experience for them. These real learning experiences help students to see things out of the narrow bubble and themselves as a part of a bigger world.

The Summer Camp 2022-2023 titled Xploria was organised by Dr. Virendra Swarup Public School, Kalyanpur, which began from 23rd May 2022. Fun-filled activities for the anxious children were a delightful treat. It gave them an opportunity to learn new skills.

On the occasion of “National Technology Day”. “The Techoff- Hope of Flying with Technology “ a science exhibition and seminar was organized by Amar Ujala in CSJM University on 11.05.2022.
The chief speakers of the seminar were Padam Shree Prof. H.C.Verma and Mr. Sameer Khandekar, where the students of Dr. Virendra Swarup Public School, Kalyanpur participated and showed their talent and interest in giving vent to their scientific temper.

As the summer is at its peak, the need to beat the heat is immense . Ergo a refreshing glass of lemonade is just what is needed .
A Lemonade Party was organised on 13.05.22 at Dr. VSPS Kalyanpur for the little ones of Kinder World .
The teachers demonstrated the process of preparing this beverage . The children also took part in a lemon printing activity. They drank Lemonade and got their pictures clicked as part of the celebration .The day concluded with teachers telling the kids about the health benefits of drinking lemonade rather than the other beverages available .

On this auspicious occasion, Dr Virendra Swarup Public School, Kalyanpur hosted a special assembly on 1st November 2021.
The celebration began with a narration that unfolded the mythological tale of Diwali while highlighting some beliefs and customs associated with it.
The students dressed up as various characters from the Ramayana depicted the story of Lord Rama and His return to Ayodhya after conquering Ravana through a wonderful skit thus spreading the message of victory of good over evil.
Our students were also awarded 'Certificates of Achievement and Participation' for participating in Inter-School Junior Literary Fest titled 'Talking Titans' conducted by Delhi Public School Servodaya Nagar.
The school Principal, Ms Punita Tuteja applauded the efforts of the children and urged everyone to celebrate a clean, green and safe Diwali.

Science is all about innovations, so there is no better way to get young scientists excited about learning new things with hands on activities.
Keeping the same in mind, Dr. VSPS, Kalyanpur organized a 'Science Activity' for classes Nursery to II.The motto was to teach the concept of ' RESPIRATION. The students participated enthusiastically and learned the concept in a playway method.The children enjoyed an animated video and the making of working model of the lungs.The teachers also conducted a vocabulary session using placards wherein the kids were introduced to words related to the topic like lungs, inhale, exhale, oxygen, carbon dioxide,etc.
Witnessing the little ones enjoying the activity was nothing less than sheer delight.

To enhance the observation skills of our kiddos- *Sink or Float* activity was conducted today , 04.09.20 i.e. Friday in the KINDERWORLD, which surely helped our young minds to attain real life hands - on experience, hand & eye coordination & language development and above all to express their ideas & opinions. It was truly a new experience for our kids.
Through today's activitiy, kids understood the concept of density ,the reason of floating or sinking of any object followed by a questionnaire session based on the wonders of science which was thoroughly enjoyed by our kiddos.

GANESH CHATURTHI FESTIVAL - (2020-08-28)
We at Dr. VSPS KALYANPUR take immense pleasure in celebrating every festival with verve & enthusiasm in order to keep our students rooted to our Indian culture.
An activity was held on 28.08.2020 wherein the students celebrated GANESH CHATURTHI FESTIVAL.The young sculptors gave shape to GANESHA idol with their tender ,delicate hands using clay. They understood the importance of eco friendly GANESHA VISARJAN ceremony for which mud filled earthen pots were used. The idols were dissolved in water with the promise of a new life sprouting from the seeds kept inside the idol.The efforts were remarkable and the lessons learnt would forever remain etched in their memory.

Keeping this in mind and to explore the creative potential of the young minds, an inter-house POT PAINTING COMPETITION was conducted where they were told to paint an old pot, decorate and write an inspirational quote on it .
The children showcased their creative skills in painting and the result was an amazing art work.
This fun filled activity was conducted to bring to use old pots & to help them utilize their time constructively.

The primary Wing ( classes I & II) organized *GIVE WINGS TO YOUR THOUGHTS -OBJECT TALK* , an INTERHOUSE COMPETITION to strengthen the verbal skills and to foster public speaking in the young students.
The students participated in this activity which helped them to build their self-confidence and self-esteem. It also enabled them to improve their descriptive skills by communicating feelings, expressions, thoughts and emotions with words.
Objects were prepared by the students which added to the beauty of the competition. It goes without saying that students' involvement in the individual activity infused in them originality, self-confidence & self-reliance. The inspiring presentation by the students proved that they left no stone unturned to give a realistic appraisal of their skills.

*A VISIT TO THE NURSERY! - (2020-02-14)
To give a hands on experience related to the theme ‘Plants’, tiny tots of PREPRIMARY & CLASSES 1&2 OF Dr.VSPS KALYANPUR were taken to a nearby plant nursery.
The objective of the activity was to reinforce the topic-plants and to inculcate the love for the environment and to relish the beauty of nature. The students were briefed that the garden has a collection of a range of plants labelled with their botanical names. Children observed and explored variety of shrubs, cactus, creepers, herbs palm, fruits, and colourful flowers and eagerly interacted with the gardener. They were curious to know about the surrounding and were excited to see the pots of varying shapes and sizes. It was told to them that fertilizers and manure are required for plant growth.
The little learners were responsible and refrained themselves from touching the plants and plucking leaves or flowers as instructed to them. This field trip sensitized the students towards caring for the environment and the importance of planting more trees.

On light and shadow exploration Science Activity.
In this activity, they understood and learned the concept of "Formation of shadow." The Lil kids observed keenly their own shadows and that of other objects. The kids made unique shadow puppets using their hands. It was indeed a rewarding day for kids with positive benefits.

*SHADES OF YELLOW STIMULATES OUR LITTLE ONES with happiness, energy and optimism…….â€*
With an objective to recapitulate and reinforce the effects of yellow colour, preprimary wing and celebrated “Yellow day†on 30th January, 2020 .
A day dedicated to the yellow colour was marked with children dressed in different hues and tints of yellow. Children were not only beautifully dressed in their favorite yellow dresses but also brought yellow objects to make it a complete “Yellow Dayâ€!
Tiffins were filled with bananas, custard, jelly, lemons, mangoes, pineapples etc. Attractive yellow coloured toys like racing cars, teddy bears, dolls, balls, balloons, flowers and head gears made the learning environment active and sporty.
Activity room was well decorated with paper Sunflowers ,Tweety , Airplane, Marigold,Sun n honey bees . The children enjoyed this activity and were very happy when they received a crown decorated with sun , yellow smiley and yellow balloon to take home. The teachers were beaming with pride when the confident little commentators described the yellow objects with expressiveness, flair and ease.
Focusing on the theme the teachers planned art and collage activities . The bulletin boards were reverberated with quotes, appealing posters of minions, tweety, honey bees and sunflowers highlighting the pop essence of yellow colour. To make the children understand about the significance of yellow colour.
Along with this ,
BASANT PANCHAMI was celebrated with full zeal n enthusiasm .. Little kids prayed GODDESS SARASWATI to impart them knowledge and wisdom & have understood the importance of the day .
Cheerful Children attired in yellow outfits were sparkling with optimism, enlightenment and happiness. Beams of yellow shades carried the promise of a positive future flashing creative thoughts in the young minds.
The motive of celebrating this yellow colour day was to make the children aware of yellow colour, its significance and to develop fine motor skills in the students. They spent the day with utmost enjoyment.

REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION - (2020-01-24)
The spirit of true patriotism was revived when the pre - primary wing of Dr. Virendra Swarup Public School, Kalyanpur celebrated the 71st Republic Day with much zeal and fervour.
The little one's dressed up as freedom fighters participated in plethora of activities organized for the day.
The school principal Mrs. Rashmi Chawla enlightened the students about this day of passion.
The programme culminated with the melodious rendition of Vande Matram followed by sweet distribution.

DIWALI N HELPERS DAY CELEBRATION - (2019-10-25)
The celebration of Diwali,the festival of lights came alive at DR.VSPS KALYANPUR, KANPUR, on Oct25'2019 when the school wore a festive look with earthen pots & diyas, lanterns, lights,flowers n candles adoring the reception, classrooms & corridors of the school.The rangoli on the theme of eco friendly Diwali , Diya n candle decoration , bandhanwar making competitions by the students of all the four houses added the perfect setting of the festivity.
The morning assembly students talked about the significance of all the five days of Diwali celebration and the highlight of the day was the celebration of Helpers Day where students gifted Diwali gifts n sweets as their token of love & respect to all the helpers of the school family.

ISKCON TEMPLE VISIT - (2019-10-16)
Dr. VSPS Kalyanpur has organized a visit to ISKCON temple- Mainavati Marg, Kanpur on 16th October 2019, for the junior students (from PG to class 2nd). The visit was guided by Alok Prabhu, an ISKCON aficionado.
The “Gaushalaâ€, Lord Jagannath temple and Lord Krishna temple were visited primarily. Krishna dance and chanting program was the main attraction of the visit. All the students have participated in various activities. The student’s enthusiasm and energy level was made on sight.
Students have enjoyed the spiritual learning and felt Lord Krishna’s blessings upon them. The visit was ended with “Prasad†distribution.

DUSSEHRA CELEBRATION - (2019-10-04)
DR. VIRENDRA SWARUP PUBLIC SCHOOL, KALYANPUR celebrated Dussehra with a lot of fervor and ardor. A spectacular one act Ramlila was staged by the primary students in which they presented the scenes from the banishment of Rama from Ayodhaya followed by his victory over Ravana.
The importance and significance of dussehra and Ravana's ten heads were explained. The students raised the slogans of‘Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram’ and everyone around enjoyed the serene atmosphere. The students of preprimary section made crowns and story entactment was done.
The primary objective of the entire show was to convince the students that no matter how intelligent a person is, his pride will be the reason of his collapse. They were informed that Ravana was basically very intelligent. His knowledge was equal to the knowledge of ten heads. His ten heads are symbolic of his great wisdom. They were intimated how his single mistake overpowered and nullified his entire wisdom. So ultimately the students were told to be genuine in their doings.
The tiny tots enjoyed the activity of making ‘crowns’.. The teachers prepared the students as Lord Hanumana by painting their faces.
The Principal Mrs. Rashmi Chawla addressed the students and told them that the purpose to organize this celebration was actually to make the students aware of the oft repeated message i.e the triumph of virtue over the vice. She congratulated the teachers and the students for the coming festival season.

To Commemorate the sovereignty of our nation, the Principal unfurled the tricolor flag and all in unison sang the National Anthem and expressed the joy of our freedom.
ABHAY RATHORE ,the head boy of the school and Vandana ma'am shared his views on the significance of the day. The students of Choir group (4,5&6) sang the Patriotic song and the power pack dance performance ( 5,6&7) that awakened everyone’s feelings towards nation
The Programme concluded up with the Vote of thanks by the Principal . At the end sweets were distributed to the student's.
Indeed, it was a day of joy, a day to love and respect our country and make it a better place for Indians to live and experience the freedom, peace and unity in diversity.

On the 14th August'19,the New Prefectorial Body of the school is invested with duties for the academic session 2019-20.A soleman occasion, the ceremony began with the members marching to the stage where they were graced with badges & saches and took oath as well; the day imbued with a sense of pride, humility & leadership .

ORAL HEALTH CHECKUP - (2019-08-01)

DR. Virendra Swarup Public School, Kalyanpur organized a dental check up and oral care awareness camp in the school premises today i.e. 01-08-2019. A team of Senior Specialist dental surgeons carried out a comprehensive dental checkup of students of Pre Primary to VII.
The camp includes dental awareness talk, educating students about common dental ailments, especially stressing on tooth decay & gum disease and measures for prevention. The students were told about proper brushing techniques the eating patterns and food choices which cause tooth decay. The doctors also highlighted about the possible formation of harmful acid which develops when bacteria get in the mouth which ultimately results in tooth decay. On completion of the dental checkup each student was given a Patient Prescription Card, a summary report for further consultation.

Today (25.07.19) VSPS Kalyanpur Family celebrated the Founder's Day in the cherish memory of Dr. Virendra Swarup Ji with passion zeal & enthusiasm. The celebration will last for a week starting from 25.07.19 to 01.08.19 which comprises of many activities and competitions like inter house dance competition , poster making competition, collage making competition, message to our saviour's letter writing competition, poetry recitation, JAM ( just a minute ), movie day, fruit salad making activity, colouring competition, scoops smiles and a medical camp.
The ceremony was started by an inspiring introduction of Dr.V.S Ji followed by the lighting of the lamp by the Principal and the Coordinator of the school. Inter house dance competition & Fruit Salad making activity was the main attraction of the first day. At the end Principal Madam declared the results with her encouraging wordS for the participants and teachers.
