Physics Laboratory

Our state-of-the-art Physics laboratory is equipped with modern equipments to help the students learn the concepts of Physics with experiments. It is designed to give practice of taking measurements, analyzing data and drawing inferences while the students experiment.

Key Features :

• The lab is quite spacious and very well ventilated to ensure proper availability of light in it.
• It can accommodate 25-30 students at a time.
• Our students get a virtual experience of experiments on the Educomp smart board which they thoroughly enjoy.
• There's a computer in the lab for the students to reach for data collection and analysis .
• The lab is very well equipped with instruments, like- meter bridges, battery eliminators, potentiometers, Hooke's apparatus, etc.

The students spend most of their time at their lab tables performing their own experiments. The pin-boards on each wall are decorated with very suitable charts, maps, illustrations and quotes and at the same time various models, made by the students, are exhibited all around the lab. One just cannot resist loving both the lab and the subject as the aura of Physics seems to besiege the invader.

Chemistry Laboratory

Our avant-garde Chemistry Laboratory provides a platform for students to nurture the budding scientist within them.

Key Features :

• The laboratory is furnished with latest hi-tech interactive smart boards for a virtual real life learning experience.
• It can accommodate 25-30 students at a time.
• The Lab is provided with the state- of- the art devices like- Fume hood, Distillation unit, Electronic weighing machine, Bunsen burners, beakers & flasks and the safety devices such as firefighting equipment, First- Aid Kit etc.
• The acids and other reactive chemicals are stored in separate locked cupboards as a further precautionary measure.
• The apparatus includes the common place strikers, mortar and pestle, clay triangles, watch glasses, crucibles, crucible tongs, chemical spoon, stirring rods, filter funnels and a variety of stoppers.
• The exhaust system efficiently sustains a comfortable environment in the room even while performing experiments requiring chemicals that let out fumes.

The lab inculcates curiosity and inquisitiveness in students. It plays a very important role in developing a scientific temperament in our students.

Biology Laboratory

Our school has a well equipped and well-stocked biology laboratory. The idea is to enable hands on learning by the students. The laboratory provides the students with all sorts of facilities, ranging from specimens to innovative smart boards. The laboratory is quite spacious and is creatively decorated by the students.

Key Features :

• The lab can accommodate 25 -30 students at a time.
• The laboratory apparatus ranges from simple slides, test-tube, petridishes to the composite microscopes of varying powers to observe samples and organisms closely.
• All the microscopes with digital eyepieces and built in cameras are a great way to preview live colour digital images directly from microscope to the computer via a USB port.
• The interactive board connected to a computer system and projector makes the biology lessons more effective and interesting.

Besides the aforesaid the laboratory also has charts, models and specimens meant for demonstrations.

Mathematics Laboratory

Our Maths Lab makes it simple and fun for students. The lab is well equipped to demonstrate and elucidate any maths topic. A state-of-the-art Maths Lab equips the 21st century learners with activity based learning and creates a challenging atmosphere for students to hone their mathematical skills.

• The laboratory approach of teaching Mathematics provides students with the opportunity to understand and discover the beauty, importance and relevance of Mathematics as a discipline.
• The Maths Lab comprises of a variety of mathematical teaching aids in the form of models, games, charts, CDs, books etc. useful for effective learning.

Computer Laboratory

In times of booming technology the computer labs at Dr.VirendraSwarup Public School , Kalyanpurprovide the appropriate platform to the students to be future techno-artist. The computer labs are used not just to hone the skills of computer students but also provide an exposure to them.

Key Features :

• Our computer lab is the complete amalgamation of visual entertainment and learning.
• The lab houses 30 systems with multimedia facility including LCD monitors and optical mouse for the use of students to make them computer savvy.
• Students are taught concepts of Flash, HTML, QBasic, MS Office , MS-WORD, MS-EXCEL, MS-POWER POINT and MS-ACCESS at various levels which prepare them to face the tough challenge of computer world later on.
• They receive computer training from the well qualified teachers.
• We provide Wi-Fi facility with a high speed of 100 mbps .
